On September 6Th I got a very painful ache in my lower back. I didn't really think much of it since I had been helping Grandpa Curtis put sides on his water tower. We were camping again so I took an Advil and waited. It returned the next day and still I thought nothing about, but on the 10Th I'd had enough of the pain and my mom made me an appointment with a chiropractor.
After a full examination he took so x-rays and sent me on my way to return the next day. When I returned and saw my x-rays, it kinda scared me to see what I saw. My neck and spine aren't in too great of shape. My spine is somewhat a backwards S just not as much curve, I have one vertebrae that is slightly tilted, a bone in my lower back that is supposed to be connected that isn't, my neck doesn't have the curve that it should, my left leg is about 1/4 of and inch shorter than my right, and my right hip and shoulder are higher than my left. The first day when I saw my x-rays he told me that my lower back and neck were swollen. So mom got to torture me with homemade ice packs 5 times. I now have to go 3 times a week so I can be adjusted.
I always tell my patients to alternate between moist head and an ice pack twice a day.
