11 days left and counting! My parents and I are going to Brazil for a week and we're bringing back Stetson. It's going to be so much fun. I'll be posting pictures when we get back and everything here is calmed down. Ha ha :) We'll be flying right into Manuas. As far as school, I'm missing 7 days of school (so much homework! well it's worth it). In my choir class, part of the my grade is earned from attendance. Being gone for 7 school days would probably bring my grade from an A to an F, which would not be good. So the teacher allows us to come in before we leave and get an assignment to make up the days we're gone. So I went into him and asked him if I could get an assignment and he told me no! I was about to argue when he told me just be prepared the tell the class (of over 40 kids!!!!) about my trip and that if I heard music, the compare it to some of the music we're singing. I've talked to some of my other teachers and they're giving me my homework when I get back. So possibly no homework for the trip!!! YAH!!! But lucky me, I'm missing core testing for school :(. So I'll have to make those up when I get back. . . . . . .
In Brazil we'll arrive at the end of the rainy season so hopefully it won't rain to much but I'm sure it's still going the be hot. As Stetson would describe the heat, "Imagine that your in the desert on the HOTTEST day of the year, now you build a fire and you sit in front of it." The heat will be interesting but nice in some ways. I'm hoping to get a really nice tan :) I think my mom said that it's going to be in the 80 degrees when we first get there!
